Post 16 results

We had 134 students who took a total of 398 A Level and Level 3 vocational qualifications in the Summer 2025.
Our Level 3 value added score was 0.6 meaning that students at Frome College obtained, on average, more than half a grade above the national average.
Our top performing subjects included: - Maths, Fashion & Textiles, Physics, Health & Social Care, Psychology, Sport, Music Technology, Drama and History.
Congratulations go to all of them and we are sure that whatever they have chosen to go on to do, that they will continue to develop and prosper.

Headline achievements
  • Strong top grades across many subjects:
    Science subjects such as Biology and Chemistry achieved particularly high proportions of grade 7–9 results, reflecting excellent teaching and student commitment.

  • Impressive English performance:
    Both English Language and Literature saw increasing numbers of students achieving grade 5 and above, with a large proportion securing grades 7–9.

  • Creative and Performing Arts success:
    Subjects such as Drama and Art & Design saw a strong set of high grades, demonstrating the creativity and talent of our students.

  • Progress across the board:
    Many subjects recorded that students have made better-than-expected progress compared to their starting points.

  • Breadth of achievement:
    Excellent results were achieved across a wide range of subjects, from Geography and Modern Foreign Languages to Business Studies, reflecting the school’s broad and balanced curriculum.
