The BBC News School Report gives 11-16 year-old students across the UK the opportunity to research and produce their own news reports for a real audience. Year 9 & 10 students are involved in the project to decide upon, create and publish stories about news that is important to them. They reported 'live' for real on Thursday 16 March 2017.

The students have worked hard to write, film and produce their news stories, and have covered some challenging topics ranging from mental health issues in young people to the prevalence of fake news in today’s media. They even managed to fit in an interview with the owners of the newly-reopened Westway Cinema, a site of great local interest. Here’s to their future careers in journalism!
