
The evening held in the venues Ballroom, welcomed sponsors of the campaign, special guests and the nominated finalists for each category.
The evening commenced at 6.30pm with a drinks reception, before welcome speeches from Emma Slee, Senior Editor for Somerset, and a two course dinner. The awards ceremony was hosted by guest speaker Jon Desborough, sports presenter for Sky News.
Susie who plans to study medicine, is an active member of the College Sixth Form, a volunteer at Frome Community Hospital, a young advisor for the NHS, and has also written medical articles and presented work in Parliament.
Frome College Principal, Ms Reynolds, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Susie’s work has been recognised in this way. Susie is a credit to our college, our community, her family, and an inspirational role model for young people.
We wish her luck in her forthcoming exams, and thank her for everything she has done for Frome College.”
I have three children at Frome College, all very different types of learners with different needs. They have all been well supported and well taught with teachers who are caring and committed to their students.
