Our congratulations go to Ben Manning, Dan Weston, Emily Hoare and Rebecca Marshall, for achieving their Gold DofE Awards at Buckingham Palace on Thursday 24 May. They all completed their Gold Awards on the Isle of Skye expedition last July.

Emily has since gone on to do a year as an apprentice Outdoor Activity Leader with the Scout Association in Windermere.  She is based on the banks of Kielder Water working for the Calvert Trust, who specialise in outdoor activities for disabled people. The DofE programme at Frome College inspired her to want to work in this field which she really loves.

Ben Manning said: “On behalf of us all, I just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to Mr Marsh for everything that he has done to help us achieve our Gold DofE Awards. Without him, we wouldn’t have got there. His dedication to us and our awards, including driving us 16 hours to Scotland, was instrumental in us achieving our Gold.  No words will ever express my thanks. We were lucky enough to meet HRH Duke of Cambridge at the ceremony in Buckingham Palace - without Mr Marsh, this wouldn’t have been possible.”

We wish them all every success for the future!
