Frome College students Joseph Dobson and Louis Tozer recently attended the BAFTA Awards in London.  They rubbed shoulders with ‘Best Actor’ Sean Bean, stood next to Amanda Holden (Britain’s Got Talent) and saw Dec from Ant and Dec.

Joseph and Louis won their tickets to the award ceremony in the Royal Festival Hall by making a film about Cyber Bullying.  The film was judged by Ronan Keating (Boyzone), Tim Minchin, and Otto Bathurst (Film Director – Robin Hood) as best in the 16-21 year old category of the ‘All Rise’ International Film Competition.

Joseph said: “It has given us invaluable experience into what it takes to make a short film.  We both wish to get into the industry, and this will hopefully help with our ambitions.  To see our video, it can be found on the ‘All Rise Say No to Cyber Abuse Facebook page’. “

Joseph and Louis will also be attending Twickenham Film Studios in July for work experience as part of their prize.  They hope to win a BAFTA in the years to come.

Well done to both of them! We wish them good luck in the future.
