On Monday 11 December, the Frome College Choir took part in the Somerset Music Christmas Celebration Concert at Wells Cathedral. This event celebrates the talents of young musicians in Somerset, and the choir has taken part for a number of years.
This year we were invited to perform The Lamb by John Tavener, and the traditional song Carol of The Bells, in an arrangement by Kirby Shaw.  As part of the programme we also joined in with other school choirs to sing Sweet Chiming Christmas Bells and Do You Hear What I Hear?, as well as three traditional congregational carols, all accompanied by the Somerset County Youth Concert Band.
It was an excellent evening full of great performances from all the schools which took part. Congratulations are due to Mr Nicholls, Head of Faculty for Expressive Arts, for leading our College choir so magnificently, and to the 41 students and 6 members of staff who took part.
