A large crowd at St John’s Church listened to Frome College students and staff; present an outstanding seasonal musical celebration at the Carol Concert on Monday 12 December. The varied array of musical talent on offer at the school featured the College Choir, jazz band, orchestra, Shotgun Marimba, Fiddlestix, ukulele orchestra, brass ensemble, solo performances and congregational carols.  It is always a pleasure to entertain the community at this very festive event to get everyone in the Christmas mood.

Our thanks go to James Wallis in Year 12 and Daniel Weston in Year 13 for the photography on the night.

The well supported retiring collection raised over £340 and will be split between Dorothy House and Frome College’s music department, to help support the students to continue hosting great events such as this.

Steph Cox from Dorothy House came to College on Thursday 19th January to collect the cheque on behalf of the charity, and to meet some of the staff and students who were part of the Carol Concert.  In the photo (L-R) is Nick Waterhouse, lesson supervisor, Principal, Mr Ball, Steph Cox, Imogen Piper &  Ruby Plaxton in Year 12, and Mr Nicholls, Head of Faculty for Expressive Arts.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Frome community for their generosity and continued support of Frome College.
