The CV project takes part during tutor time throughout years 9, 10 and 11.  During year 9 students start to think about their skills and experiences so far. During year 10 they develop their first draft of their CV. They can receive feedback on it and are given support to develop and improve it to give them the best opportunity to showcase their skills.  The CV is used during the mock interview process and enables a further opportunity for feedback.  They are also available for work experience if needed. The students can then update their CVs further in year 11 before completing their GCSEs. 

In English lessons during year 10, all students complete a formal covering letter so that they learn the conventions of letter writing and the expected layout and content of a covering letter to accompany their CVs.

Students will have further opportunities to update their CVs in Post-16 and they should all leave college with an up-to-date CV and a good understanding of what employers are looking for.
